As more students take a national test with high standards usually the failure rate goes up as well. This is an indicator of higher ambition and a weaker academic pool seeking better qualifications.
The number of students taking Advanced Placement tests hit a record high last year, but the portion who fail the exams is [...]

Did you know that when people feel safe, they perform better? Have you ever stopped to think that if you could help people feel safe with you, they would perform better for you? That does not mean that you lower your expectations or accept sub-par performance or that you start every meeting with Kumbaya.
You see, [...]

Why isn't anyone the mental health community asking or answering the most fundamental question for behavior change? That question is of course "What determines human behavior?" Question:
1 - Are you running your life?

3 - How can the subconscious possibly be running my life?

If you want to convince prospects to hire you as their coach, you'll need to answer some very basic - but very critical - questions. Most coaching websites don't do this at all. Instead, these websites merely have contact information, a summary of credentials, maybe a picture of the coach and perhaps a simple list of services. Far from what you need to make a convincing case for your services.
Clearcut answers to these questions can make a big impression. Because coaching services aren't readily understood, and the value of coaching is often difficult to grasp, answering these questions is a HUGE opportunity for a coach to make a deep connection with potential clients - the kind of connection you need, in order to turn them into paying clients.
Here are the questions ...
Question 1: What is this?
A common approach to answering this is to say, "It's coaching." Labels in general don't convey much about any profession, including the coaching profession.
Another approach to...

Our businesses have for too long been centered on the focus of physical diversity. The people we hire for our positions are often no different from each other in the mind. This solidarity can be good for a business that needs people who are not free thinkers, but for the business who wants to explore the horizons and push the envelope of business, free thinkers are needed to see the future in business and find the best possible pathways to reach that future.
Coaching is a fantastic choice for a new business who wants to ensure the best possible outcome from all employees and for the established business that needs to give a fresh new feel to their staff. Coaching can take place in a variety of ways from hypnosis to classroom discussions.
The classroom coaching instruction is the most highly recognized version of teaching. The company will often send down a representative with a huge stack of papers and pamphlets, the ever boring PowerPoint presentation and a speech a mile long...

Summary: Most people don’t begin the process of developing a business if they have no intent of establishing the business. Most people also believe there are different roads that lead to success. Is this true? Or are there just a variety of perspectives along the way?
Sometimes I think there is a common misperception about developing a business. This misperception seems to be that all roads lead to business success. This idea seems to take into account the notion that a business owner can simply pick and choose what they want to do, how they want to do it and when they want to do it.
By observation this almost seems possible.
The truth is every business starts at a definite place in time. It could be after many years of mulling the idea around, it could be after the loss of a traditional job and options are few or it could be following a presentation from someone who is already a business owner.
Not only is there a definite starting place, there is an end goal – the...

I, like many, spent several years in therapy. I had varying degrees of success, but I still viewed my childhood as something that wounded me terribly. I spent much of my adult life healing.
I was in a workshop, one day, and we were asked to come up with a happy memory from our childhood and to hold it in our minds as we continued with the exercise. I searched and searched for a happy memory. If an event presented itself with even an inkling of happiness, it proceeded to run itself out in my mind to a disastrously unhappy conclusion. I had no purely happy memory. I, of course, felt like I was the only person in the whole group who could not get a happy memory, which magnified my unworthiness issues. It was awful. I realized that instead of healing in my years of therapy, I had learned to understand what had happened at an intellectual and behavioral level, but I was still feeling much pain. I had a hole in my soul, and my spirit felt fragmented. As time went on, my spiritual life...

With the recent media attention given to The Secret and the law of attraction, what I have to share today may be old news to many of you. I questioned whether or not to write an article this week on the power of positive thinking - surely everyone knows the benefits of this, right? I was talking to my mom a few days ago and she had never heard of The Secret (what rock does she live under?) but she knew all about the law of attraction.
That's old news she told me.
So, here I am. Talking with you about the power of positive thinking. And while consciously we may all quickly agree that it's common sense to think positively rather than negatively, to see the cup half full rather than half empty...is that what we do?
We may talk to others positively and see ourselves as a cup half full type of person. My question to you is what is going on inside your head that no one sees? And, according to the law of attraction, how are you feeeeeeling about a topic or subject? Your thoughts...
